The tissues manipulated include muscles, joints, connective tissues, ligaments, and tendons. It has been practiced for thousands of years.

Thoughts about a massage session are usually accompanied with those of pleasure and relaxation. It is especially helpful if you are recovering from an injury because of its relaxing effect. The therapist begins the massage with general strokes, and finishes with specific strokes. The specific strokes are for addressing the specific problem areas.

Hot stone massage

Just as the name suggests, this kind of massage uses warm stones. Stones placed on specific pressure points on the body and held down as you are massaged. The basalt warm stones relax you and loosen tight muscles. As a result, this helps the therapist to easily reach the areas of muscle tension.

Back, neck, and shoulder massage

It includes the massage treatment for only the back, neck and shoulder areas. This massage is best to relieve tense shoulders because it focuses on the neck and shoulder muscles. It also lessens neck and back pain, which may be acquired from sleeping wrongly or straining. Moreover, it could help to ease a strained nerve.

Who provides massage therapy?

A massage therapy cannot be performed by just anyone — at least not a good one.
